How we actually work
Remote-first, output-measured, and deliberately small. Here is what that means day to day.

Digistan has been distributed since it started. That is not a perk we added — it is how the specialist model works. You are judged on what you ship, in your own hours, with a small number of fixed collaboration points each week.
Project teams are three to eight people. There is no layer between you and the decision, and no ticket queue insulating you from the client's actual problem. If you want to understand why a system is being built the way it is, you can ask the person who decided.
The founder runs AI training programmes; that culture runs internally too. Time for learning new tooling is budgeted into engagements rather than expected on evenings and weekends.
Clear written communication, because distributed work runs on it. Honesty about estimates and blockers early. And enough curiosity about the client's domain to question a requirement that does not make sense.
Work from anywhere in India. Occasional client visits for public-sector engagements.
Core overlap for standups and client calls; the rest is yours to arrange.
Contract, part-time and full-time arrangements, depending on the pod and the pipeline.
We do not ask for free work. Practical assessments are scoped and paid.
Scope, rate and career conversations happen with the founder, not through layers.
Licences, AI tooling and cloud environments funded by the company, not expensed by you.
A short note is enough. You'll hear back from the team, not a bot — usually within one working day.
