Logistics & mobility

Where the shipment is, when it will arrive, and proof it was delivered — captured by drivers who cannot stop to fill in a form.

What technology do logistics operators need?

Operators need real-time shipment and fleet visibility, route planning that accounts for actual conditions, proof of delivery capture that takes seconds, cold chain monitoring where required, and customer-facing tracking that reduces status enquiry calls.

Every second of driver time is contested

A proof-of-delivery flow requiring four screens will be completed in a batch at the end of the day, in the parking area, from memory. The timestamp is then wrong, the signature is missing, and the data is worse than useless because it looks authoritative.

Capture has to fit the moment: one screen, a photograph, a signature, done in under fifteen seconds, working offline. That constraint drives the entire design.

Common problems

What we are usually called in for

  • Status is unknown between scans

Customers call to ask where their shipment is, because tracking is coarse.

  • Routes are planned on experience

Sequencing by habit rather than by distance, time window and load.

  • Proof of delivery is unreliable

Captured late, incomplete, or reconstructed after the fact.

  • Cold chain breaks go unnoticed

Temperature excursions discovered on arrival, if at all.

Live location with customer-facing status that reduces enquiry calls.

Efficiency

Route planning

Sequencing against time windows, load and real road conditions.

Field

Proof of delivery app

Fifteen-second offline capture with photo, signature and geotag.

Compliance

Cold chain monitoring

Continuous temperature logging with excursion alerting.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about this

Will the app work where there is no network?

It has to. Capture happens locally and syncs when connectivity returns, with the original timestamp preserved rather than the sync time. Systems that require connectivity at the doorstep produce systematically wrong data.

Can we integrate with our courier partners' systems?

Usually, through APIs where available and scheduled file exchange where not. Partner integration quality varies considerably, and we scope each one rather than assuming parity.
