Ecosystem

Technology ecosystem

The platforms we build on, the partners we work with, and how an engagement actually runs from first call to handover.

What is Digistan's technology ecosystem?

Digistan builds on established platforms rather than proprietary frameworks — React, Node.js, Python, PHP and Laravel for applications, AWS and Azure for infrastructure, and the major AI providers for models. Clients own the code and can move it elsewhere.

No proprietary lock-in

Some agencies build on an in-house framework, which makes the first project cheaper and every subsequent decision theirs. Leaving means rebuilding, and that is the point of the arrangement.

We build on widely used, well-documented technology. Your code is in your repository, your infrastructure is in your accounts, and any competent development team can pick it up. That is a deliberate constraint on us, and it is the main reason clients stay rather than the main reason they cannot leave.

How we choose technology

Per project, against the problem — not per preference. The questions we work through are whether your team can maintain it, whether people can be hired for it, whether it will still be supported in five years, and whether a simpler option would do.

  • Maintainability by your team, not just by ours
  • Hiring pool in India for the skills involved
  • Long-term support and community health
  • Total cost including licences and infrastructure
  • Whether a simpler tool would solve the same problem

What sits under this section

Partners and alliances covers who we work alongside. Engagement models sets out the commercial arrangements available. Our delivery process describes how a project actually runs. Tech stack and integrations lists what we build with and what we connect to.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about this

Do we own the code you write?

Yes, entirely, from the first commit, in your repository. There is no framework licence, no hosting requirement and no dependency on us to deploy.

What happens if we want to move to another vendor?

You take the code, the documentation and the infrastructure access. We would rather hand over cleanly than be retained by friction — and clients who know they can leave tend to stay longer.

Talk it through before you commit

A discovery call is a working session on your constraint, not a sales pitch.

A short note is enough. You'll hear back from the team, not a bot — usually within one working day.
