Earned media

Organic social media

Two channels done properly rather than six done badly — with a content engine your team can actually sustain.

Which social channels should a business use?

The ones where your buyers already are, limited to what you can sustain well. For B2B and professional services in India that is usually LinkedIn first. For consumer brands, Instagram and increasingly YouTube. Being present on six channels and consistent on none performs worse than two done properly.

Consistency beats reach

Most business social accounts fail through inconsistency rather than bad content. Enthusiasm produces three weeks of daily posts, then a gap, then a burst before an event. Audiences and algorithms both punish that pattern.

So the plan has to match the resource you genuinely have. Three good posts a week, sustained for a year, will build something. Daily posting abandoned in month two builds nothing and consumed more effort.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about this

Should we post from the company page or the founder's profile?

On LinkedIn, the founder's profile almost always reaches further — the platform favours individuals, and people follow people. The company page is still needed for credibility, but the reach comes from personal posting.

How do we measure social if it does not drive direct clicks?

Partly through tracked links and enquiry source questions, partly by accepting that awareness is imperfectly attributable. What we do not do is present engagement metrics as though they were business results.

Talk it through before you commit

A discovery call is a working session on your constraint, not a sales pitch.
