AI strategy & governance

AI consulting & strategy

A costed, sequenced roadmap that starts with the tractable win rather than the exciting one — because the first project funds the appetite for the second.

What does AI strategy consulting deliver?

AI strategy consulting produces a prioritised, costed roadmap: which processes benefit from AI, whether your data and systems can support each one, what each will cost to build and run, and in what order to attempt them. The output is a sequenced plan, not a survey of available technology.

Sequencing beats ambition

The pattern that wastes budgets is predictable. A leadership team picks the most transformative-sounding use case, discovers nine months later that the data was never going to support it, and loses the organisational appetite to try again. The idea was not wrong; the order was.

We score candidates on two axes — value if it works, and feasibility given your actual data and systems — and recommend building the boring feasible thing first. A modest win that ships in ten weeks buys more credibility, and more budget, than an ambitious programme that stalls.

    Map the processes

Where time, cost and error actually accumulate today.

  2. 02

    Generate candidates

Use cases drawn from the process map, not from a trend list.

  3. 03

    Score value and feasibility

Against your real data, systems and skills.

  4. 04

    Cost each option

Build cost, run cost and the internal effort required.

A staged roadmap with decision gates between phases.

Deliverables

What you receive

  • Process map with quantified cost and time hotspots
  • Scored use case register with reasoning shown
  • Build and run cost estimates per candidate
  • A staged roadmap with go or no-go gates
  • A board-ready summary and a working session to walk it through

Engagement shape

Three to six weeks depending on organisation size. Delivered as a standalone engagement with no obligation to build with us.

Tooling

What we typically build with

  • Process mapping
  • Value and feasibility scoring
  • Cost modelling
  • Stakeholder workshops

Stack decisions follow the problem. This is where we usually start, not a fixed menu.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about this

What if the recommendation is to do nothing yet?

Then that is the recommendation, and it is a legitimate outcome. Some organisations need a data or process fix before AI adds anything. Hearing that after three weeks is far cheaper than finding out after three quarters of build.

Do we have to build it with you?

No. The roadmap is written to be executed by anyone, including your internal team or another vendor. We would rather be judged on whether the advice was right.

Talk it through before you commit

A discovery call is a working session on your constraint, not a sales pitch.

A short note is enough. You'll hear back from the team, not a bot — usually within one working day.
