Advisory & compliance

Strategy, sequencing and compliance for public bodies — including the accessibility work most vendors treat as a pre-launch afterthought.

What does e-governance advisory cover?

e-Governance advisory covers deciding what a public body should digitise and in what order, mapping and improving processes before automating them, planning the organisational change involved, and ensuring compliance with GIGW 3.0, WCAG 2.1 AA and the DPDP Act 2023.

Automating a broken process makes it faster, not better

The most common and most expensive mistake in public sector digitisation is encoding the existing process without examining it. Steps that exist only because a form was once paper get preserved in software, and the administration inherits its own history in a system that is now harder to change.

Mapping first almost always finds redundant approvals, duplicate data capture and steps whose original reason has lapsed. Removing those before building is where most of the improvement actually comes from.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about this

Can you advise without also building?

Yes, and advisory work is priced to stand alone for exactly that reason. The recommendation should not be shaped by an interest in the delivery that follows.

Do you work with existing vendors?

Yes. Many administrations have systems from several suppliers, and part of advisory work is making them fit together rather than recommending replacement of everything.
